IT, telecoms and cloud services provider Daisy Group has scooped a prestigious award for innovation from global software giant BMC.
Announced at the annual BMC Exchange event in London, the award recognises key achievements by Daisy Group in automating vital processes that protect hundreds of its mid-market customers from critical service interruptions.
The same innovation is also enabling Daisy to efficiently automate customer adoption of its Microsoft Azure cloud offering that is at the core of its long-term strategy for growth.
It means order processing time is dramatically reduced and customers are up and running quickly and effectively.
Accepting the award yesterday (Tuesday), Daisy Group Chief Software Officer Ant Molloy said: “It is extremely gratifying for Daisy Group to be recognised in this way. BMC is a vital strategic partner for us. Our close relationship not only impacts positively on our own levels of performance and efficiency, it also has a hugely-positive effect on our customers’ ability to serve their markets effectively and with confidence.
“We have been able to extend our proactive system monitoring; receiving early warnings so we can fix problems before our customers are impacted. We have also combined BMC technology with our other strategic tools to pass important information to customer service teams more effectively. And we have been able to accomplish all of that whilst simultaneously reducing the cost of licences and support from other non-strategic system management software providers. All of that means we are able to free up people from carrying out mundane, repetitive tasks and, instead, engage them in more valued activity. It’s a win for our customers and a win for us.”
Daisy Group Infrastructure Director John Holt said: “It’s fantastic to get this level of positive recognition from our partners. We extended our relationship with BMC last year and not only has it helped us in the integration of our operations, but it has allowed us to bring Azure and hybrid cloud to our Corporate Services customer base, in a way that is agile and consistent.”
Daisy now plans to benefit additionally from the relationship by further automating more of its 24/7 service and delivery processes, whilst continuing to reduce costs.
Commenting on Daisy’s award, BMC Vice President Northern Europe Calvin Goom said: “Time and time again, Daisy Group has proven itself to be one of our most innovative customers here in the UK. In recent months, they have begun using BMC Server Automation to provision within Azure, leading to a shorter lead-to-cash cycle and enabling scale out with little or no increase in operational cost. This is a truly fantastic achievement, proving that a true partnership can lead to real value in multi-cloud environments.”
