Daisy bus proves hit for job seekers

The Daisy big red bus proved a hive of activity as the local telecoms firm recruited staff at the weekend.

More than 100 job seekers hopped on board the recruitment double decker as it parked up in Burnley town centre for the day and more than 80 filled in applications for positions with the company which currently has 50 vacancies.

Event organiser Fiona Ritchie said: ?People always say that if you want work it is out there, you just need to look in the right places.

?Daisy has 50 vacancies to fill, which is fantastic for the local area and we were delighted with the number of people who took the opportunity to come and visit us on the bus and many who brought CVs along with them.

?We had some really good candidates for the available positions and we look forward to seeing some familiar faces in the head office at Nelson in coming months.?

Applicants, shoppers and passers-by were treated to dance routines from Shell?s Belles during the lunchtime period.

Fiona added: ?The atmosphere was fantastic and we were thrilled that the first outing of the Daisy bus was such a huge success.?
