Lauraine Turner, IT Director at Condé Nast Publications Ltd
Condé Nast Publications Ltd is the international publishing giant behind UK titles Vogue, Vanity Fair, and GQ, to name just a selection. Most famous in glossy monthly print formats, these titles also have prolific online formats that extend and enliven coverage.
Following strong year-on-year growth and expansion, Condé Nast needed to upgrade its multi-protocol network to deliver higher performance, greater reliability, cost savings and greater business continuity.
The solution involved the deployment of an Extreme Networks LAN solution, followed by voice and data communications solutions and security. The Extreme LAN solution has now been expanded to all UK offices; Mitel IP Telephony has been rolled out to migrate the company away from a legacy Siemens infrastructure; and a Juniper security solution has been deployed. Daisy has also implemented a new VPLS WAN solution with SIP trunking to provide a replacement to the legacy ISDN circuit to drive cost savings and greater business continuity.
Through Daisy’s core-networking solution, Condé Nast now has a network infrastructure that is not just providing a significant performance boost, but is also reliable with the option of minor technical updates to ensure that the technology is geared for the future.
